The one part of the house with no margin for error
Full roof replacements, tear-offs, repairs, and storm damage work. Done with the flashing details that actually keep water out.
Nebraska is hard on roofs. Hail every spring, straight-line winds, and a hundred degrees of temperature swing between January and July. A roof here works harder than a roof almost anywhere else in the country.
Most roof failures are not shingle failures. They are flashing failures — at the chimney, in the valleys, around the vent stacks, and where a roof plane dies into a wall. Those are the details a crew rushes when they are trying to do two roofs a day. We do not do two roofs a day.
We tear off to the deck so we can see what we are working over, replace any rotted sheathing, and detail the penetrations properly before a single shingle goes down.
Shingling over an existing roof hides rot and shortens the life of the new material. We take it to the deck and look at what is under there.
Step flashing at every course, kickout flashing where the roof meets a wall, and proper chimney counterflashing. This is where roofs leak.
We will walk the roof, document the damage honestly, and meet your adjuster on site. We will also tell you if we do not think you have a claim.
Tarps over landscaping, plywood against the siding, and a magnet sweep of the whole yard before we leave. Nobody should be finding nails in October.

Most Omaha-area homes are a one to two day tear-off and reroof, weather permitting. Larger or steeper roofs, and anything with significant decking replacement, can run three days.

Most remodels touch more than one of these. Bundling them into one project is almost always cheaper than doing them a year apart.
