Composite deck and covered porch built on a home in Omaha, Nebraska

Outdoor space built to last past the warranty

Decks, Porches & Concrete in Omaha

Deck builds and rebuilds, covered porches, patios, driveways, and flatwork — with the footings and hardware to survive Nebraska frost.

Everything outdoors in Nebraska lives or dies on what is underground. Frost goes deep here, and a footing that stops short of it will heave — lifting a deck out of level or cracking a slab straight across.

We dig below frost line, every time. Then we frame with the hardware that is rated for it: hot-dip galvanized or stainless connectors, properly flashed ledgers, and joist hangers actually filled with the right fasteners instead of whatever was in the pouch.

Ledger flashing deserves special mention. A deck ledger bolted to a house without flashing is the single most common way people rot out a rim joist without ever knowing it.

Why homeowners hire us for this

Footings below frost line

Not a shortcut we take. Frost heave is what turns a five-year-old deck into a trip hazard and a slab into a crack.

Ledger flashing, always

The connection between a deck and your house is where rot starts. We flash it so water sheds away instead of into your rim joist.

Materials priced honestly

Pressure-treated, cedar, and composite each make sense for different budgets and different owners. We will lay out the real cost over fifteen years, not just the quote.

Permits and inspections handled

Decks over a certain height need a permit and an inspection in the Omaha area. We pull it and meet the inspector.

Questions

Decks, Porches & Concrete questions we get a lot

Straight answers, no hedging. Call if yours is not covered here.

Composite costs more up front and almost nothing after. Cedar looks better on day one and needs sealing every couple of years. Pressure-treated is the budget option and will need the most attention. All three are legitimate — it depends on how much weekend maintenance you actually want.
